This was the third year I was invited to the Annual Califasfest Car Show sponsored by the Sanger District Chamber of Commerce and hosted by members of La Vida Califas, LVC Crue and LVC Socialites on Saturday September 29th.

With over 40 cars, trucks, motorcycles and custom vehicles, members of the La Vida Califas, LVC Crue and LVC Socialites hosted this year’s awesome car show once again and put on a great show for the community.

The event kicked off with a cruise. Participants gathered at the Sanger High School Gym Parking Lot on the Corner of Bethel and Annandale Ave. in Sanger, CA. The cruise started at 2:00pm. The caravan of cars headed to Highway 180 East Through Centerville - Minkler and back to Sanger where they lined up downtown.

Once again Custom One Of a kind Trophies for The Best Of all Categories were donated by various artist, pinstipers, custom painters and graphic artist.

There was live Music by Cattiness and the Revenge “Rockabilly Queen of the San Joaquin".

A Special appearance by Ebony Cardenas, a small business owner, makeup artist and Selena’s #1 Fan and impersonator entertained the crowd with her singing and dancing to Selena’s music. Ebony was such a hit with the crowd and especially the children. She also passed out Selena T-Shirts.

Food vendors like Vega Bros Street Eats, Cinnamon Roll Shack, Yoshi’s Teriyaki Bowls, Sadie Mae’s Catering and more gave the crowd a variety of great tasting food to fill the palate. The was also a Beer Garden and Farmers Market with a variety of drinks to quench the thirst and plenty of fruits and vegetables from local farmers.

La Vida Califas Socialites hosted the Pin Up Contest with approximately a dozen participants. The guest judges were last year’s reigning Miss CaliafasFest Amber Carnage, Ebony Cardenas, Selena impersonator and Jenna M Fonseca aka Native Doll host of the Rockin Rhythm Radio show from the Los Angeles area. This year’s winner is Tracy Estrada, a gorgeous Pin Doll who participated last year for the first time.
